Support Our Work
GROW Scarborough is an entirely volunteer-led community organisation.
Every project we run, every seed we sow, and every harvest we share is made possible through the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of funders and community supporters like you. We have minimal operating costs - website hosting, insurance, a peppercorn rent, and bank charges - but beyond that, every penny we raise goes directly into our work - growing food, building community, and making Scarborough a healthier, more connected place for everyone. Aside from volunteering, you can support our work by giving whatever you can, and if that’s not an option for you - even sharing our story makes a real difference.

Quotes and Testimonials
“Community-led food growing projects like this have the potential to bring people together, improve wellbeing, and make positive use of underutilised spaces. It’s encouraging to see volunteers working constructively with partners to explore opportunities that could benefit the wider Scarborough community.” Cllr. Rich Maw
“The volunteering sessions are relaxed and welcoming. I’ve enjoyed getting my hands dirty, seeing seedlings turn into actual food and harvesting things we’ve grown ourselves for the community. The ways it’s benefitted me are physically spending real time outdoors, which has improved both my energy and my mood. Mentally, an hour or three in the garden helps me switch off. Socially, I've made genuine connections." Volunteer at The Street Community Garden (who wishes to remain anonymous)
“I have been extremely pleased to see GROW Scarborough develop across our communities. How wonderful to see their next steps on the Community Grow project.” Cllr. Liz Colling
